CHAPTER 1: "EVERY TRIP IS A QUEST (EXPECT WHEN IT'S NOT)"
The five aspects of a quest are; (1) a quester, (2) a place to go, (3) a reason to go there, (4) challenges during the way, (5) the real reason to go there. The quester in the book Of Mice and Men is George, questing to find land for him and Lennie. A place to go in the story is the land that they have been looking forward to their whole life. The reason to go to the land is to get away from everyone and everything in their life, so they don't need to worry about anyone or anything. Some challenges during the quest are Lennie, for one, he can't control his anger or his emotions. He killed his dog accidently, broke a hand, killed Curley's wife without intention. The real reason to go to the new land is freedom, to get away from everything and live the life that George had planned for Lennie all along.
