CHAPTER 15: "FLIGHTS OF FANCY"
A literary work that signifies freedom through flight is Toy Story. The last scene where Woody and Buzz were trying to get back to Andy because Andy had lost Woody and Buzz and he didn't want to do the move without his favorite toys. In order for Woody and Buzz to make it to the car they needed to light off a rocket so they could gain the speed so they could get to the car. As Woody lit the fuze they started to go very fast through the streets as if it was a runway. As they gained enough speed they started to lift off the ground and started to fly. It was Buzz's dream to be able to fly somewhere and he got the chance at the end of the story. Buzz started to fly and he kept soaring through the sky in order for Buzz and Woody to get in the car. Eventually, after the flew for a little bit, they landed in the car, into freedom, and Andy was a happy kid.
