CHAPTER 11: "...MORE THAN IT'S GONNA HURT YOU: CONCERNING VIOLENCE"
The two types of violence in literature are; (1) when one puts violence upon themselves, (2) when one puts violence upon others. When one puts violence upon themselves they don't hurt others as much as they bring down themselves. The fact that they don't have anything to look forward to creates a more interesting look into literature, making people want to read more and find out what actually happens, creating more interest. Another type of violence in literature is when one puts violence upon others. This could also mean death or challenges, the more challenges that the characters in literature have then the more interesting the piece of literature will be, the more you will want to read and pay attention to.
